The Vision Behind L'Belia

The Vision Behind L'Belia

What does L'Belia mean?

[luh·bell·ee·uh]

We chose the name L'Belia to reflect the symbolism of the lobelia flower. To give it a distinct identity and better align it with the vision, we opted for a refined variation in spelling creating something timeless and uniquely ours.

This flower has a spiritual meaning of healing, tranquility, peace, transformation and growth. These qualities resonate deeply with our mission at L'Belia Beauty | Skin | Laser, as we strive to nurture not only the outer beauty but also the inner well-being of our clients. We aim to create a space where each individual can experience feeling both rejuvinated and empowered in their own skin.

Meet the Founder

My name is Imogen and this is my story. At just 14 with a passion for nails and beauty, I started saving up my babysitting money to purchase an acrylic nail kit to do my own nails from home and mobile. I would walk round the village in Wouldham, Rochester with a bag in hand full of my equipment charging £5 to learn and practice nails, once I was 15 I saved up for a gel nail kit to add to my services and for my 16th birthday the only thing I wanted was a wax kit. I taught myself and practiced on anyone who would let me until I could start college to complete my Level 2 & 3 NVQ in Beauty Therapy.

During my time at college, as I was learning new treatments, I worked in salons doing nails and waxing whilst doing clients mobile on my time off to gain as much experience as I could. My goal was to work in the spa's on cruise lines to travel and do the job I loved at the same time and once I was 19 I did just that! I trained with Elemis, CND and Nouveau Lashes working on Royal Carribean Cruise Line and Marella. After my contract, I relocated to Hampshire and worked as a therapist supervisor in a Beauty Salon in Winchester but eventually moved back home to Kent to go self employed full time as 'Imogen Beauty'.

While I was self employed I went on many courses to further my education, specifically for advanced skin and facial treatments. Even at 16 I knew eventually wanted to work with skin and lasers, treating concerns with advanced technologies. After I has just turned 24 I chose to go back into employment to share knowledge and learn from other experienced therapists as well as operations and running of a salon. This is when I became a Spa Manager of Luminis Beauty in Reigate, and when Luminis opened a new branch in Chislehurst I was transferred there. I worked for Luminis for 2 years, in this time I did more training with skincare brands working with Comfort Zone and Epionce.

I always knew I'd eventually start my own business again but wanted to do it when I felt I had as much knowledge as I could possibly gain from the beauty industry. During my time as Spa Manager I completed my VTCT Level 4 in Laser Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvination part time at Midkent College Medway as well as Advanced Laser training for Laser Hair Removal, Skin Rejuvination and Laser Tattoo Removal with Physicist Mike Murphy.

I have now built a cabin in my garden and brought on brands I truly believe in, to ensure everyone who has a treatment with me will always receive the high standard of treatments using only the best of high quality products my clients have always known and trusted me for.
